Two Saunton Golf Club junior members are celebrating historic achievements after 12-year-old Troy hit a rare par-four hole-in-one and 15-year-old Harry won the Devon Amateur Championship.
Saunton Golf Club is celebrating a week of youth success after two of its junior members achieved victories on the course.
Twelve year old Troy carded a hole in one on a par four, while 15 year old Harry won a dramatic finale to be crowned the Devon Golf Men's Amateur Champion.
The week began on Saunton’s West Course, where junior member Troy, who has just celebrated his 12th birthday, holed his tee shot last week on the second hole.

With course maintenance meaning the tees were moved forward, the par four hole was within reach. Troy used his driver to find the bottom of the cup from the tee.
Further success followed at Royal North Devon, where fellow Saunton junior Harry won the Devon Amateur Championship.
Harry's progress to the title began on Friday during the Gold Medal strokeplay qualifying. Rounds of 78 and 79 secured a spot in the top 16, booking his place in the knockout matchplay stages.
From there, the 15 year old defeated Michael Jones in the last 16 and knocked out Alex Gibson in the quarter finals. That set up a semi final with fellow Saunton member Andy Norman, which Harry won to book his place in the final.
In the final match against Archie Christophers from Stover, Harry was down for the majority of the tie. He recovered to win the match 1up.
Following the victory, Harry has been selected to represent the county. He will join the Devon team for the upcoming South West Week, which takes place at the Isle of Purbeck from the 6th to the 12th of June.
