Beach Academy head coach Denise Austin said: "Two National Cup titles, two amazing teams who gave all for themselves and the club; two captains who won the Golden Balls for MVP.

"It's an amazing achievement from a rural area, the miles we put in were worth it."

For the U16s, the third set was crucial in their 25-21, 21-25, 26-24, 25-23 win over their Essex-based opponents.

After sharing a set each, a monumental defensive effort from Kate Hill-Anning and Bet Morgan helped Academy swing the set in their favour to edge it 26-24.

The U18s did it the hard way, quickly going two sets down to Manchester-based Tameside before steadying themselves.

Evans closed out the third set before great work at the net from Helen Farr put them right back into the game.

The final set shootout saw Beach Academy win by four points to seal a 19-25, 22-25, 25-19, 25-18, 15-11 win.
