South Molton won 31-10 at Tavistock to stay above half way in the Cornwall and Devon table.

Molton led 10-3 at half time thanks to a Ross Crang try, converted by Callum Stone, who also kicked a penalty. Ed Nettleship kicked a penalty for the home side.

Molton’s lead increased after the break as Crang, George Whiting and Dillan Tuck all added tries, Stone did not miss a kick.

South Molton are at home to Topsham this Saturday.

Winger Tom Scantlebury scored a hat-trick of tries as Torrington routed OPM 50-22.

As well as winger and man-of-the-match Scantlebury, Torrington also had Corey Tobyson (2), Tom Gooch and Mark Waterson crossing for tries, while Sam Britton kicked six conversions and a penalty.

Torrie are away to Old Techs this Saturday.

Ilfracombe were left frustrated by losing 23-12 at Sidmouth in the top-of-the-table clash in Merit Two North East.

Both sides went into the game unbeaten, but Ilfracombe were made to pay for a slow start.

They trailed 12-0 at the break but then dominated the second period. They scored twice after the interval through Charlie Bennet and Jay O’Beirne, with Dermot Dalton adding a conversion, and were adjudged to have been held up over the line on a further three occasions in the final 10 minutes.

Bideford Quins are at home to Sidmouth II, Ilfracombe host Tiverton Athletic, South Molton Stags go to Topsham and Torrington Legends entertain Crediton Hornets.
