Fred King (3-26) picked up three wickets up front, Adrian Isherwood (2-4) had two in the middle and Jack Popham (4-9) had four in a row at the end as Bovey capitulated to 54 all out. Opener George Yabsley made a dozen, Toby Codd batted a long time for 10 and no one else made more than eight. North Devon openers Ed Yeo (21) and Dan Bowser (28) knocked-off the runs in 11.3 overs. Tom Popham, the North Devon captain, agreed the game turned into something of a non-event. But that should not detract from his side's bowling performance. "We bowled as well as we could have and we would have a lot of sides in trouble bowling like that," said the North Devon captain. "It was good for Fred King to get off the mark and once he took his first wicket it gave him that extra yard. "He was hitting the gloves hard so we're all really pleased for him." North Devon go to Heathcoat this Saturday.
