North Devon 2nd XI face an anxious end to the season after a nine-wicket drubbing by Plymouth, which has left them sweating on being dragged into the bottom two.

Bob Heaman was dismissed by the first ball of the match, which set the tone for the North Devon batters.

Warren Miller made 20 and James Woolaway 19 in a total of 113 all out. The Mawalage twins - Pavi (2-31) and Pasi (4-34) - did most of the damage.

Plymouth's Jake Luffman led the way with 65 not out - he and Harry Stephenson (34) put on 87 for the first wicket - which left Rob Button (14no) to finish it off. The points gap between North Devon and second-bottom Exmouth is only 11 points with 40 left to play for.

North Devon finish with Exeter (5th) and doomed Sandford.
