BIDEFORD Nomads ran away with the game in the second half to beat Crediton 68-12.

Veteran Steve Geaches, an old adversary, was playing his final game for Crediton, but there was no happy ending for him.

Crediton hit back after Nomads opened with two scorching tries inside five minutes, scoring twice to close to within two points at 14-12.

Shaun Woodhead opened for Bideford with a flying dash to the line before Mitch Barclay followed suit after good work from Troy Hicks.

The next 20 minutes saw end-to-end action before Nomads moved up a gear to run in three more tries by the break to lead 35-12.

Crediton battled throughout but found the home sides pace out wide too much to handle. Another 5 tries in the second period took Nomads to a fine victory.

Lee Faux touched down twice, as did Stuart Arnett-Clark and the lively Hicks.

Biddy veteran Marco Flores added one, as did colt Curtis May before he pulled on the Crediton shirt for the final 20 minutes due to injuries.

Woodhead kicked six conversions and Faux a seventh.

Flores and Hicks shared the man of the match award though the whole squad delivered an awesome performance that delivered Nomads their finest result for many seasons.
