BIDEFORD Nomads suffered a 27-0 Merit Table defeat at South Molton and will be disappointed with their performance. Nomads rarely got out of first gear and should have performed better after turning around just five points behind. Nomads' game was strewn with errors and too few players were on top of their game. The back row of Phil Crouch, Darren Palmer and Richard Squire worked hard, ably supported by hooker, Austin Galt. Captain, Mike Powe, was his usual lively self until sustaining an injury on half time. South Molton backs were too strong and ran in four second-half tries to win 27 - 0.Nomads will look to break their duck in the Merit Table this Saturday when they entertain Okehampton.
