Bideford Nomads entertained North Tawton 2nd XV in a lively friendly that promised much in the first quarter but delivered another defeat in a tough season for the home side. Nomads dominated the first 20 minutes in all areas and were unfortunate to have had two claims for tries ruled out Tawts broke against run of play to score a try, adding a second to make it 12-0 at the break. Tawton also scored with barely 10 minutes remaining, though the try brought about a belated sparkle to the hosts efforts, resulting in a try for Chris Bailey, Mark Westcott adding the extras. Nomads were punished in the dying seconds as they committed everything to attack. The final score of 22-7 did not do credit to the hard work of the Nomads squad.
