The three-day event saw 128 athletes competing for the respective home nations and battling it out for medals. There was a gold medal for Ellie Austin, silver medals for John Morgan and Zack Nettley, a bronze for Beth Morgan and a fifth-place finish for Kate Hill-Anning. The competitions unique format saw teams splitting into two pairs and competing against each other, with a golden set deciding the match if the teams draw. Austin paired with Katie Keefe in England One, coming up against the England Two pair of Charlotte Wittram and Holly Bentley. After winning 21-13, 21-13, they went into the golden set against the other England two pairing of Isabelle Tucker and Saskia Freitas, where they won 15-8. Beth Morgan was in the third place play-off with England Three against England Five. Paired with Anna Keefe, they won 21-13, 21-15, and with their team-mates winning their respective match too, they sealed bronze without a golden set. Morgan and Nettley, representing Wales, made it to the final, but lost 21-12, 21-12 to the England team.
