Sundays open league match at Stafford Moor saw Ricky Johnston scoop a huge bag of 173lb 6 ounces on Woodys lake. Tom Mangnall was second from Tanners peg with 117lb 11oz and Geoff Wood third with 115lb 2oz. The silvers winner was Mark Leahy with 25lb 1oz . Some good catches at the Moor in recent days have included a Dean Willoughby with a 28lb 1oz leather carp from Beatties lake, while Brandon Galley had a 26lb-er while young Lewis Harris had a 16lb 10oz from Beatties. Out at sea, a sizeable summer rockling of 1lb 11 ¾ oz (115.624 per cent) gave Rick Eavis first place ion the Bideford Angling Club 24 hour rover. Second and third went to Taz Wotton with two smoothound for 8lb 14 and 8lb 11. Taz also won the 24 hour rover championship this season with 23 points, completing the sea section double after winning the monthly rovers a few weeks ago. He beat Antony Smith (20 points) into second place, after another very close season with several anglers still in contention going into the final competition of the season.
