There was success for North Devon and Torridge at this year’s Devon Games to Inspire, with the joint team finishing third in the overall tournament.

One hundred young people from across both districts formed the squad that competed in 11 different sports.

There was further success for 34 members of the squad who came home with individual medals, including gold in the tennis, silver in High 5 netball and table tennis and bronze in the boys badminton and girls cricket.

The gold award was extra special for team coach Hannah Miller, who after seven years of coaching the tennis team finally got the gold.

Eight teams from nine Devon local authorities entered the tournament, with North Devon and Torridge entering a joint team for the first time.

Exeter were the overall winners, making it the fourth year in a row that the host team has taken the honours.
