GEORGE McEndoo hit an unbeaten century as Barnstaple and Pilton beat Clyst St George by six wickets in the B Division.

Matt Cook cracked a maiden league century as Clyst clattered along to 266 for nine.

Cook hit 16 fours from 108 balls faced on his way to exactly 100 not out. He shared a stand of 123 for the fifth with Mark Couch (55).

The usually miserly Steve Moore (0-45 off 13) went for a few more runs than normal, partly because Couch took a liking to his bowling.

Ed Yeo (5-71) and Tom Popham (3-36) were the leading wicket takers.

Barnstaple's victory charge was led by George McEndoo with an unbeaten century of his own.

McEndoo made 109 not out and put on 116 for the fifth wicket with 15-year-old batter Laurence May (50no) as Barnstaple and Pilton won with eight overs to go. He hit 19 fours - more than a few off Couch, who got a taste of his own medicine in figures of 0-78.

Bideford's game against Chudleigh was called off due to a waterlogged pitch.
