DARTS players at the First Inn Last Out in Bideford have been putting their best arms forward in a 24-hour darts marathon in memory of a special boy, who died in January.

Little Josh Northcott was only four. He suffered from Downes Syndrome and leukaemia. Darts players at the pub have rallied to raise cash for the children's charity CLIC Sargent and a special 60s and 70s disco was put on at the pub, plus bingo and an auction. So far more than £1,300 has been collected.

Landlord Terry England thanked local business and individuals for their generous support and all the players who took their turn on the darts board.

The new Bideford Devonshire Pine Darts League will also be holding a threes competition to help the cause.

Pictured at the start of the marathon are John Beer, Terry and Carol England, Peter and Paula Berry, Shirley Seatherton, Elisha Beer, Kevin Beer and Mike Wise.
