YOUNG lions are hungry to get the new soccer season under way after re-forming under a new committee.Northam Lions under-15s were unable to finish last season due to a lack of players, but now they have re-grouped and with 17 interested players already are looking forward to making their mark in the Opticop Youth League.They are being led by a new committee of parents -manager Andrew Butler, coach Terry Barton, secretaries Julie Ousley and Sandra Shuttleworth and treasurer John Glass.They were grateful to Northam Lions FC for allowing them use of the pitch and changing rooms, said Mr Butler. The club would be pleased to hear from anyone who could help in sponsorship, including essential kit, balls, bibs and training equipment, for use both indoors and out, he said.
