Bideford remain unbeaten in the Calor Southern League Premier division thanks to a hat-trick from Ashley Yeoman against St Neots on Saturday. The former Torquay United man volleyed the Robins in front after 25 minutes, a lead which his side retained until half time. The visitors equalised 20 minutes into the second half, which prompted a change in shape from Bideford boss Sean Joyce. That duly turned the game back in Bidefords favour, and Yeoman was the one to profit. He added a second before completing his hat-trick from the penalty spot to record his first triple since returning to the club from Torquay this season. Struggling St Neots pulled another goal back through a penalty of their own, but Bideford managed to hold on for another well-deserved three points. The Robins have now recorded seven wins and five draws in their opening 12 games this season, and sit third in the league. They travel to Hendon in the FA Trophy next Sunday.
