TORRIDGESIDE are already double cup winners after carrying off both the Torridgeside and Hansen Cups.
On Thursday they overcame Devon and Exeter Premier Division title chasers Hatherleigh 5-1 at Torrington to win the Torridge Cup for the first time.
A crowd of some 600 saw Rob Cockwill put Hatherleigh in front inside 10 minutes.
The Devon and Exeter side’s good start continued and they could have had another, but Luke Reynolds’ header went wide.
Having weathered the early storm, Torridgeside then turned the game around with three goals in 10 minutes before the break, by Marc Bettis, Rob Holland and Kyle Paine.
Jamie Bright pounced on a loose ball to hammer home a fourth from the edge of the box and Paine applied the coup de gras with his second and Torridgeside’s fifth.
On Monday the silverware stacked up when Torridgeside Reserves were 4-0 winners in Hansen Cup final over a mixed Braunton 3rds and 4ths.
Ian Cockwill, Drew Sullivan and Simon Grigg put Torridgeside 3-0 up by the break and Rory Payne added a second half penalty.
