Barnstaple Town eased through in the second qualifying round of the FA Vase on Saturday.

Town travelled to Carlsberg South West Peninsula side Ivybridge Town and returned with a fine 4-1 victory.

Barry Yeo’s side did the damage in the first half - it was 2-0 at the break, but Town’s intensity shone through.

Ryan turner is having another strong season up front for the Mill Road outfit, scoring a hat-trick on Saturday to already clock up double figures for the campaign.

Fellow striker Dave Pearse also found the target for Town to complete a 4-1 success in the competition.

Town are in knock-out action again tomorrow (Tuesday), hosting Buckland Athletic in the St Lukes Bowl.

A league trip to Welton Rovers awaits Barnstaple on Saturday and Clevedon Town visit next Tuesday.
