Ryan Turner scored a goal in each half as Barnstaple Town beat Cribbs 3-1 at Mill Road on Saturday.

Captain Aaron Harper-Penman was also on target for Town, who bounced back from last week’s FA Cup exit at Poole Town in the Toolstation Western League Premier Division.

Turner tucked away his first on 18 minutes following a well-worked move down the right.

The lead was doubled on 36 minutes when Harper-Penman fired through a crowded penalty box after the Bristol side failed to clear a corner.

Turner made it 3-0, 10 minutes after the break, before Cribbs pulled one back through Jordan Yeo on 61 minutes.

Barnstaple held firm to make it four wins from seven league outings so far this season, and to climb two places to sixth in the table.

On Saturday, Barnstaple are at home to Sherborne Town, who are currently third from bottom in the table with just one win from six this season.
