Ilfracombe Town made it two wins in four days in the South West Peninsula East Division on Saturday.
The Bluebirds welcomed Honiton Town to Marlborough Park, and came out of the contest 3-1 winners.
Sam Box got them up and running with a finish at the near post. Jordan Charran doubled the lead before half-time.
Box got his second and Ilfracombe’s third in the second half before the Hippos pulled one back from the penalty spot through captain Ben Ede.
The result was similar to Wednesday’s 3-1 win over Appledore, where the Bluebirds came out on top in the first North Devon derby of the season at Marshford.
Box opened the scoring, and they led 2-0 at the break thanks to a Brodie Montague penalty.
Ben Whitecross pulled one back for the Fishermen, before another Montague penalty sealed all three points.
Appledore are still looking for their first points of the season after a 2-0 defeat to division newcomers Waldon Athletic on Saturday.
Josh Mason got both the goals for the hosts in their first ever home game in the Peninsula League.
The Fishermen will be hoping to get off the mark on Saturday, when they play Honiton Town at Marshford.
After dropping points at Sidmouth Town last Wednesday, Torridgeside got back on track on Saturday with a 3-2 win over Axminster Town at Donnacroft.
Goals from Sam Fishwick and Jamie Bright helped T-Side into a 2-0 lead before the visitors pulled one.
Brian Levien opened up the two-goal gap again but it was short-lived, as the visitors pulled one back a minute later just before half-time.
Torridgeside had led 1-0 at Sidmouth thanks to Nathan Walter’s goal after 33 minutes, but an equalizer in the fourth minute of injury time meant they were forced to settle for a point.
Holsworthy got underway in the West Division on Saturday, beating Plymouth Marjon 3-0.
Dom Abbott, Harry Barrett and Harry Stevens scored the goals for the Magpies at Upcott Field.
They’re back at home again on Saturday, when they take on Ludgvan.
