Sporting Barum followed up their Devon Cup win by getting their hands on the Intermediate One league cup on Saturday evening.

Sporting Barum clinched their second trophy in less than two weeks on Saturday, beating Braunton Thirds 4-0 in the Arlington Cup final at Ilfracombe’s Marlborough Park.

Goals from Marcus Mahoney, Matt Deakin and two for Richard Eaton sealed Barum’s win in extra time.

In a cagey opening half, it was Braunton’s Toby Bennett who had the best opportunity.

After 90 minutes, the game was still goalless despite chances for both sides.

Substitute and eventual man-of-the-match Eaton opened the scoring with a low shot before the end of the first half in extra time.

Eaton’s goal opened the floodgates for another three before the final whistle.

Mahoney got Barum’s second, firing into the net after a lay-off from Deakin before Eaton grabbed his second goal.

Deakin wrapped up the win for Barum when he poked in after a huge goal kick from Connor Davies.
