Braunton and Ilfracombe Town go into a crunch game tonight (Tuesday) knowing at least one of them will drop points for the first time this season.
Braunton maintained their pace on Saturday with a 7-0 win away at North Molton.
A first half hat-trick from CJ Roberts all-but sealed the points, with Luke Austen and Adam Baxter both scoring two each in addition.
Ilfracombe produced a performance to match away to Torrington, winning 8-1 at Vicarage Field.
Joe Seldon and Simon Townsend both netted two each, while Will Berry, Brodie Montague, Charlie Prentice and Ryan Welch completed the scoring.
Henry D’Alberti scored for Torrington.
Boca Seniors produced another impressive display, beating Park United 4-1 at Mill Road.
Goals from Craig Sandle book-ended slick performance from Boca, with Jake Crush and Adam Copp also finding the net – the latter from the spot.
Shamwickshire Rovers lie fourth after a 5-0 victory at Fremington.
Jason McGinley, Sam Bissett, James Bateman, Sam Paddon and Matt Ross scored for Shammy in the win.
Shebbear got their third win from five after beating Barnstaple Town 7-4.
Saturday’s other game saw Georgeham and Croyde defeat Hartland 4-1
Braunton recovered from a midweek defeat to Ilfracombe Town Reserves at Lobb Field to beat Putford 7-1.
Goals from Ryan Hawkes and Stephen Filsell weren’t enough last Wednesday as a Dan Wright double and a strike from Tom Hannah gave the Bluebirds a win.
The 7-1 win on Saturday will be a confidence booster for Braunton, who face league leaders Kilkhampton on Saturday.
Kilkhampton ensured they finished the weekend on top with a 4-0 win over Chittlehampton, with Joel Davey and Thomas Shadrick adding to a Steven Hackett brace.
They could extend their lead tonight when they take on Stratton United, who beat Chivenor 2-0 on Saturday.
Pilton Academicals followed up a midweek win over Chittlehampton by beating Shamwickshire Rovers Reserves 4-2 on Saturday.
Joe Neve and Carl Roberts scored for Shammy, but were unable to stop Pilton, who scored through Lloyd Harvey-Bryant (2), Greg Holland and Nat Gunn.
Pilton play Sporting Barum tomorrow.
At the other end of the table, Merton picked up their first win of the season.
They beat Combe Martin 4-0 to leave Combe still waiting for their first points of the new season.
Torridgeside Reserves were unable to get their third successive win.
They were forced to settle for a draw against Northam Lions, with the final score 2-2.
Braunton Thirds went five from five after a 7-1 win at Clovelly on Saturday.
Appledore also kept up a 100 per cent record with a 7-1 win away at Morwenstow.
Ashton Donovan, Matt Fay and Charlie White each scored two, with Kiaran Tanton adding one.
Appledore played Bideford CAFC last night (Tuesday), who were looking for a win after drawing with North Molton Reserves 4-4 on Saturday.
Haxton Rangers picked up their second win of the season, beating Fremington Reserves 6-2.
There was also a 6-2 win for Landkey Town Reserves, who beat Lynton and Lynmouth Reserves, Adam Perry scoring a hat-trick.
Georgeham & Croyde Reserves, Northam Lions Reserves and Bridgerule all maintained their 100 per cent records in Intermediate Two.
Georgeham ran out 9-3 winners against Woolsery, with Dean Seville scoring five.
Aaron Cagni scored two, with Ben Dooley and William Haynes also netting in the win.
Northam Lions beat Braunton Fourths 3-0 thanks to goals from Lee Rogers, Cosmo Ayres and Tim Durbin.
Bridgerule beat Shebbear Reserves 9-4.
