Braunton and Boca Seniors will meet in the final of the Brayford Cup this spring. The North Devon Premier and Senior league cup semi-finals took place on Saturday. A CJ Roberts hat-trick helped ensure Braunton a safe passage through to the final against Shamwickshire Rovers. A Russell Harrison header gave Braunton the lead. Roberts struck twice before half-time, one a curling effort with his left foot, and the other a swerving shot from 25 yards to take the home side into a 3-0 lead at the break. He converted a one-on-one to complete his hat-trick shortly after the restart, before Davey Platt grabbed a consolation goal for Shammy. Braunton will meet Boca, who overcame Torrington to book their place in the final their first in five years in the league cup. After a goalless first half, Danny Jenkins and Tom Marsh both found the net to give the visitors a 2-0 win. The Combe Martin Cup fixtures saw both semi-finals end 3-1. At Ilfracombe, it was the Bluebirds who overcame Pilton Academicals. The visitors took the lead through Lloyd Bryant, but the Bluebirds recovered, with goals from Connor McKechnie and David Slade putting them ahead at the break. Ray Squire sealed the win to ensure a Bluebirds side is in the final for the second year in a row. Ilfracombe will meet Appledore Reserves in the final at Hollands Park after the Fishermen beat Braunton at Marshford. Joe Wretham, Matt Fay and Charlie White scored for Appledore. Adrian Ashton scored for Braunton.Premier North Molton returned to the top with a 3-0 win over Bideford CAFC on Saturday. Josh Stoneman gave the Stags the lead just before half-time, before Archie Griffiths doubled it with a close-range finish. Sam Phillips sealed the win for Molton to give them a two-point cushion at the top.Senior Chivenor fired in seven goals to see off Northam Lions. Matthew Church, Kyle Jones and Ryan Bosson scored two each in the 7-1 win, with George Floyde also scoring. Fremington Reserves moved up to fifth with a 5-3 win over Kilkhampton. There were also five goals for Putford, who beat High Bickington 5-0, and Stratton United. Stratton beat Combe Martin 5-3, with Zach Humphries scoring a hat-trick for Combe.Intermediate One Bideford CAFC Reserves went to the top of Intermediate One without having to kick a ball on Saturday. The Robins were given a walkover win over Lynton and Lynmouth on Saturday, with the visitors unable to fulfill the fixture. North Molton Reserves were the league leaders over Christmas and New Year, but a first defeat since the opening day of the season saw them knocked off their perch. It was Equalizers who did the damage, with a 3-2 win over the Stags. Adrian Lynch, Luke Phillips and Matt Tapp scored for the hosts. Blake Ladley scored both of North Moltons goals. Braunton Thirds moved up a place to third with a 9-1 win over Barnstaple FC Reserves. Lewis Lowe was the main man for the Seasiders, scoring five goals in the comprehensive win. Ben Aiken got a brace, and Stephen Filsell also scored. Braunton were also helped by an own goal. Darren Harmsworth scored the consolation goal for the visitors. Braces from Dom Abbott and Dragos Placinta helped Holsworthy Reserves to a 5-3 win over Haxton Tangers. Jack Greening also scored for the Magpies. Sam Sherborne, Colin Welch and Luke Thorne scored for Haxton. The latter was shown a red card. Appledore Lions got their fifth win of the season with a 6-0 victory over Morwenstow Reserves. Mark Kinder scored a hat-trick, with Kieran Harris (2) and Sam Morris also netting.Intermediate Two Torridgeside Thirds were the big winners in Intermediate Two, winning 8-1 against a depleted Ashwater. Jack Magarotto and Alfie Stevens both scored hat-tricks. Daniel Murch and substitute Allistair Ward also netted. Bideford Spurs closed in on the top of the table with a 4-2 win over leaders Braunton Fourths. Ben Boswell (2), Kyle England and Sam Stephens scored for the visitors. Daniel Nott (2) scored for Braunton. Mid-table sides Woolsery, Woolacombe and Georgeham and Croyde all picked up wins on Saturday.
