This week’s North Devon Football League round-up
Wet weather meant just 12 games were played across the North Devon Football League at the weekend.
Ilfracombe Town Reserves drew level on points with leaders North Molton in the Premier after a 4-1 win over Shebbear.
Mark Gilfillan scored twice in the win, with Adam Bryant and Max Smith also scoring for the Bluebirds.
Boca Seniors missed the chance to move up to fifth after a 1-1 draw with Torrington.
Josh White struck to give the Greens the lead at half-time.
A late goal from Craig Sandle earned the hosts a point, with his ball from the right going over Aaron Dymond and into the net.
Fremington moved up to fourth after drawing 2-2 at Torridgeside Reserves.
Courtney Hodorowski and Harry Taffs netted for T-Side. Simon Larcombe and Connor Nash scored for Fremmy.
Shamwickshire Rovers moved up to fifth in the table with a 7-3 win over Hartland Clovelly.
Nathan Bate scored a hat-trick in the win for Shammy.
Harry Logie, James Bateman and Jason McGinley got one each and there was also a goal for Tom Barton, who stepped up from Shammy’s reserve side for Saturday’s game.
Braunton Reserves took six points in two days to move up to third in the Senior division.
Goals from Ashley Baker, Jack Loftus, Max Welland and Jake Williams earned them a 4-0 win over Merton on Sunday.
Braunton were 5-2 winners over High Bickington 24 hours earlier.
Will Dale scored a double in the win, with Kieran and Jay Goddard also scoring. Welland came off the bench to add another.
Owen Avery and Aaron Moan netted for High Bick.
Goals from Johnathan Dolan and Liam Kelly helped Chivenor to a 2-1 win over Appledore Reserves. Joe Wretham got the goal for the Fishermen.
Pilton remain second after a 9-1 win at Georgeham and Croyde.
Luke Arkless scored four in the win, with Ben Paul getting a double.
Alex Davey, Quyen Tran and Billy Wood also scored for Pilton. John Morgan netted for the hosts.
In Intermediate One, North Molton could only open up a one point gap at the top after drawing 3-3 with Braunton Thirds.
Toby Bennett, Stephen Filsell and Callum Stephenson scored for Braunton. James Giffard scored twice for the Stags, while Jordan Roberts also netted.
Equalizers moved up to seventh with a 1-0 win at Lynton and Lynmouth, and Morwenstow Reserves picked up a 5-1 win at Northam Lions Reserves.
Appledore Thirds and Bridgerule Reserves played in the only game in Intermediate Two.
Goals from James Clement, Ayden Faulkner and substitute Toby Prouse helped the Fishermen to a 3-2 win.
Harry Barrett scored both of Bridgerule’s goals.
