ELLIS Laight secured a point for Bideford as the Robins escaped the Devon deluge with a trip up country to Devizes on Saturday.While Barnstaple and Ilfracombe's home games were both rained off, the weather in Wiltshire held firm to produce a mid-table stalemate.The home side took a controversial lead after 20 minutes, the referee waving play on as Kris Beesley broke to score despite complaints that he was off-side.Laight, Jamie Densham and Robert Gough all had chances to score before the break, but it was Laight that eventually levelled the scores 15 minutes after the re-start, netting after Nick Barker's corner was headed back in by Tom Stocco.Bideford had chances to take the lead - Densham going close twice - but were unable to find a winner. Next up, the Robins are away to Barnstaple in a Mill Road Good Friday derby clash, kick-off 3pm. On Tuesday, they are away to Willand Rovers in the semi-final of the St Lukes Bowl, kick-off 7.45pm.Ilfracombe are away to Corsham on Saturday and on Easter Monday, host Barnstaple in the second of Barum's four-day Easter weekend derby battles. Kick off at Marlborough Park is at 3pm.
