BARNSTAPLE Ladies are still struggling to regain the good form they showed at the start of the season and slipped to another defeat in the South West League 4-1 at home to Taunton.Although they dominated the first half, they missed a hatfull of chances against their 10-girl visitors. Town looked the better team and always looked dangerous while in charge of the ball, but they were unable to find the back of the net. Lack of experience by some of the players, meant Barum lost possession in vital areas. Taunton's keeper and defence dominated the final third and supported their midfield well on the attack.Town were caught napping by a counter-attack on the stroke of half time to fall a goal behind.They came out strong in the second half, but were again unable to produce a goal.As the half progressed they became frustrated and gaps started to appear, leading to two more Taunton goals.A cracking header from Hannah Passmore narrowed the gap, but Taunton struck again the ensure the points.Bideford Ladies have slipped to third place in the Devon Women's League Premier Division after a humbling 7-0 defeat away to bottom side Dawlish.Georgeham and Croyde remain third in Division 1 despite their 3-1 reverse at the hands of leaders Exeter COE.
