BIDEFORD will kick off this summer's Joma 2010 South West Challenge Cup against Clydesdale Bank Scottish Premier League side Kilmarnock

Kilmarnock, who escaped relegation from the SPL this season in their final game, will play the Robins at the Sports Ground on the opening day of fixtures on Monday, July 19.

At the same time, Ilfracombe Town will entertain Coca-Cola League Two's Shrewsbury Town at Marlbourough Park. Barnstaple Town will have to wait until the following day to play Blue Square Conference South side Havant and Waterlooville at Mill Road.

The complete draw for this year's tournament was made at the Barnstaple Hotel on Monday afternoon, with the 13 clubs involved seeded and then divided into three groups of three and one group of four. All teams will play two games, with the top team from each group progressing to the semi-final stage.

Other stand-out group ties include the match between Barclays Premier League newcomers Blackpool and League Two club Accrington Stanley, being played at Torrington's Vicarage Field on Tuesday, July 20.

Bideford will host Accrington on Wednesday, July 21, while on Thursday, July 22, the English and Scottish Premier Leagues will go head-to-head at the Sports Ground, when Blackpool take on Kilmarnock.

On the same day, Ilfracombe will play Rushden & Diamonds at Torrington, while back at Mill Road, Barnstaple will play Coca-Cola Championship side Doncaster Rovers, who announced the signing of Wolverhampton Wanderers and local Barnstaple boy George Friend on Monday.

"Tournament secretary, Heather Schofield, said: "It is plain for anyone to see that we are in for some absolutely must-see games.

"We can certainly look forward with confidence and anticipation to the wealth of football in prospect for the whole of North Devon."

Flexi-tickets are available until June 30, priced £15. The tickets permit one adult and one child to all 12 group games. Pensioners can buy a concessionary ticket for all the group games for £10.
