An unprecedented clutch of trophies would be hard to top but an Invincibles tag would surely be a cherished accolade to sit alongside the league title, A and S Paving Devon Intermediate Cup, the Arlington Cup and Braunton Cup. Sporting have won 23 from 23 in the league this season, a statistic further bolstered by two wins this week. Stuart Cameron, Jack Cornell and Lewis Goss all found the net against High Bickington on Tuesday week. Owen Avery scored for High Bick. On Saturday, Sporting put 11 past Torrington Reserves. Matt Deakin hit four, Liam Hawkins scored a hat-trick, Damian Green scored two and there were singles for Cameron and Dan Found. In other matches, Ryan Smith scored a hat-trick as South Molton drew 3-3 draw with Haxton Rangers on Wednesday. Steve Kingdon, Richard Milton and Colin Welch scored for Haxton. The Images picked up a valuable point in a 4-4 draw against Landkey Reserves on Sunday. Lee Kerswell put Landkey 2-0 up before Nathan Roode and a Charlie Watt effort from the half-way line levelled the scores. Kerswell then secured his hat-trick and Dan Toleman made it 4-2 before South Molton came back again and made it 4-4 thanks to two goals by Ryan Smith. They are one of three teams to finish on 19 points above bottom side Equalizers and now face an anxious wait to find out how many sides will face relegation. The other two sides are Barnstaple FC Reserves and Torrington Reserves. Barnstaple were beaten 3-2 in their final match against Morwenstow Reserves on Saturday. Keith McClure scored both goals for the hosts, while Dean Wickett (2) and Thomas Denford scored for Morwenstow. Haxton bowed out with a 5-4 win against Landkey. Alex Kingshotte, Rob Scoines, Daniel Tucker, Welch and Kingdon scored for Haxton, while Steven Eggleton, Robert Harros, Joshua Marinaro and Craig Woodhouse scored for Landkey.
