Jed Harper-Penman netted a lovely opener to put Barnstaple in front in the first half, but Barry Yeos men were below their best and the hosts were soon level after half-time thanks to a Matt Durbin goal. That came from a long ball forward which Town failed to deal with properly. Barry Yeos men would still have been confident of getting the win against the Toolstation Western League Division One side, but things didnt go their way after the equaliser without the attacking threat of absent top-scorer Ryan Turner. They came close a few times, but in the end it was another long ball which undid Barnstaples usually meagre defence. With less than 10 minutes left to play, Mark Fear took his chance to send home side Hengrove into round three. Barnstaple are set to return to league action this weekend, travelling to Bradford Town on Saturday.
