Koogars hit man makes it nine goals in two games
MARK Gilfillan scored five goals as Koogars made it three wins from three at the top of the North Devon Sunday League Division One.
Tom Goldsworthy and Mark Hunt also scored for the Combe Martin-based side in the 7-2 win against J&A Cameras.
Gilfillan has scored nine goals in two games after missing the opening match against REB Rovers.
Goldsworthy, who scored 12 goals in total last season, is already more than half way to matching the target just three games into the new campaign.
Also in the division, Bratton Fleming narrowly missed out on their second win of the season when they were beaten 6-5 at Dynamo Buddy’s.
Bratton went two down and despite pulling back, always remained one goal behind. Liam Monsell scored three, and Connor Nash and Kevin Shaddick scored one each after some excellent football by Rob Scoines.
Bratton also missed a penalty.
League officials have issued a reminder to teams to ensure they fill out their match reports with details about scores, goal scorers, yellow and red cards, kick-off time, referees marks and cost.
“Failure to do so will result in fines,” warned league secretary Dave Loder.
