The draw for the early rounds of the Emirates FA Cup has been made.

Barnstaple Town and Bideford both enter the competition in the preliminary round of the competition, avoiding the extra preliminary round.

Bideford face a tough test at home to Evo-Stik Division One South rivals Bristol Manor Farm.

Barnstaple Town meanwhile will have a home game against the winner of the extra preliminary round tie between Western League Premier side Wells City and Wessex Premier League side Shaftesbury.

The fixtures will take place on Saturday, August 25 – one week after the Division One South season gets underway.

Buildbase FA Trophy

The two sides have also been drawn in the preliminary round of the FA Trophy.

Bideford have a home fixture against Street, who will be playing their first season in the Southern League.

Barnstaple Town have a trip to Hampshire where they will play league counterparts Fleet Town.

Matches will be played on Saturday, October 13.

Buildbase FA Vase

Witheridge and Ilfracombe Town are in the first qualifying round for the Buildbase FA Vase.

Withy will play Wells City at Edge Down Park on Saturday, September 1, while Ilfracombe Town travel to St Austell.

Bluebirds coach Clem Bennellick said the club was excited to be back in the competition.

“We are excited to be back in the FA Vase, this illustrates our progress that the club has made over the last few years,” he said.

“The lads deserve the chance to test themselves against tougher opposition in a national competition. The road to Wembley begins.”
