Six North Devon teams were in action in the Firewatch Devon Senior Cup on Saturday, but none were left in the competition by the end of the day’s fixtures.

Landkey Town, Fremington Reserves, Torrington Reserves, Braunton Reserves, Boca Seniors and Bideford CAFC all suffered defeats.

Bideford came close to a third round tie, forcing their match at Otterton to extra time, but were on the wrong end of a 6-4 scoreline by the end of the match.

Braunton Reserves home game against The Windmill Reserves saw them defeated 4-2, and Landkey Town’s home match against Paignton Saints ended in a 3-0 defeat.

Luke Kerswell scored for Boca Seniors in their 3-1 defeat to Lympstone, and Fremington were beaten 2-0 at Kentisbeare.

Torrington Reserves travelled to Tipton St John where they were beaten 2-1.

South Molton, Braunton Thirds and Lynton are through to the third round of the A&S Paving Devon Intermediate Cup.

South Molton added two goals in extra time to beat Silverton 5-3 at home.

Braunton Thirds picked up a big win over Kingsbridge and Kellaton United, beating them 9-1.

Lynton’s game against Dittisham United went to extra time, where they finished 5-4 winners thanks to a Tom Herd hat-trick and goals from Dan Crocombe and Jack Lambell.

Bideford CAFC Reserves are also through after a 3-1 win over Galmpton United. Tom Barton (2) and Shaun Cunningham scored the goals for Bideford.

Bridgerule beat East Budleigh Reserves 2-0 to make it through.

Appledore Lions, Holsworthy Reserves, Combe Martin and Hartland Clovelly Reserves all saw their games called off, with their respective matches to be played this Saturday.
