SIX points in two days have clinched the Intermediate Two title for the young Braunton 4ths.
They struck eight goals without reply away to Lynton Reserves, with goals by Matt Bull, Danny Ball, Dan Crocombe (3), Ben Paul (2) and substitute Sebastian Latham.
Next day brought a tougher task away to Chittlehampton Reserves as exams forced players to pull out and they fell 2-0 behind to goals by Josh Stoneman and Chris Menday. But they pulled back to win 4-2 with a Ben Paul hat-trick and a goal by Jamie Duffey.
Chittle had chalked up a 5-2 win over South Molton the previous day with goals by Ross Johnson (2), Adam Thorne and penalty by goalkeeper Dan Strong.
Fremington Reserves took nine points in a week to enhance their promotion push.
A 3-0 win over Barnstaple FC Reserves midweek was followed by a 3-0 result at Anchor Chiefs on Saturday with goals by Harry Chambers and Steve May and an own goal. Sunday brought a 7-1 win over Lynton Reserves, who had to play 60 minutes with only 10 men as one was delayed and by then the damage was done. Fremington were 6-0 up by the break. Jamie Storey (3), Shane Luxton, Matt Pow, Zac Everest and Jamie Rolfe scored the Fremington goals, with Craig Corry pulling one back for Lynton.
Georgeham Reserves and Buckland Brewer also remain in close contention. Buckland had a walk-over when North Molton 3rds could not raise a team, while Georgeham were 5-3 winners away to Woolsery Reserves. Mike Symonds and Dale Sawyer each struck twice and Nick Shilletto added the other.
Barnstaple FC Reserves were 1-0 winners over Putford Reserves with a goal by Tom Bloomer.
