Perfect record maintained with 5-1 away win

NORTHSIDE Atlantic maintained their perfect Intermediate Two record with a 5-1 win at Bradworthy Reserves on Saturday.

Damian Shaddick and Vinny Bott put Northside 2-0 up at half time with two fine finishes.

Keiran Hodge smashed a 20-yard screamer in off the post before Bradworthy got it back to 3-1.

Bott then ran past four defenders and hit a sweet low drive in off the post for the fourth and tapped in a messy corner to grab his hat-trick and seal a 5-1 victory.

A shell-shocked Bratton Fleming Reserves found themselves 3-0 down 10 minutes into their game at Braunton Fourths.

Player manager Danny Finch led the comeback with Bratton’s first goal and Jason Smith brought it back to 3-2 with an excellent strike before half-time.

A penalty save by Bratton keeper Wayne “Damage” Cusack was the turning point as the visitors went on the rampage with further goals by Smith and Finch and a solo Rob Scoines effort to wrap up the scoring at 5-3.

Leaders Fremington beat Torridgeside Reserves 4-1 and on Sunday, Alex Charlton scored the only goal in Northam Lions Thirds’ 1-0 league win at Hartland Reserves.
