WET weather wiped out all but two of the county fixtures in the Westward Development Devon Woman's League. All Division One and Two matches scheduled were postponed due to waterlogged pitches, Bideford, the only North Devon side in action in one of a pair of Premier Division matches that escaped the axe.Opponents Exeter Rangers moved up to third in the league after running out 3-1 victors. Midfielder Bec Hazell opened the scoring for Rangers from a free-kick, just 60 seconds into the match. Ruth Willans scored two, while Victoria Loze netted the only goal for the Robins. In the only other game played, Dawlish Town were 3-2 winners over division leaders Exmouth Town, Laura Gough scoring two and Kirsty Lewis sealing the win for the Sandy Lane side. In the only game taking place this Sunday, third-from-bottom Holsworthy will be hoping to put daylight between them and the bottom sides when they host Totnes & Dartington SC in the Premier Division. A good win would see Holsworthy leapfrog Bideford and the University of Plymouth and go level with Exeter Rangers in third, on goal difference.
