Bideford remain the only unbeaten team in the Calor League Southern after drawing 1-1 with Corby Town on Saturday. The Robins have extended their unbeaten run to ten league games after going ahead inside of 15 minutes at the Sports Ground when Saul Halpin helped the ball across the line from just inches out after Ben Gerring headed back across goal from a corner. The improved depth of Sean Joyces squad has been one of the main reasons for the upturn in Bidefords fortunes this season, and that depth was again necessary as the home side were without defender Rob Farkins and top scorer Craig Duff, who has found the net in the league five times so far this term. Corby played the better football for large portions of the second half and their persistence was rewarded with 15 minutes to go. A mis-kick from Nabil Shariff eluded Bideford keeper Steve Oliver and earned the visitors a share of the points. Bideford now sit fourth in the table and are now the only undefeated side in the division after Poole Town were beaten at Stourbridge. The Robins are at home again on Tuesday night, when they will hope to record a sixth win of the season against Chippenham Town.
