Robins hit the M4 for Hampshire tie on Saturday

BIDEFORD’S road to Wembley continues with a long trip up the M4 on Saturday.

The Robins will travel to Hampshire to face Hartley Witney in the FA Cup second round qualifying tie.

The Combined Counties Division One side could prove to be a tough tie for the Robins. Although two tiers below them in the national step system, Hartley Witney are unbeaten in the league this season and beat Southern Counties Premier side Bashley in the last round.

Bideford are organising a bus to take spectators to the match and anyone interested in joining the travelling support is asked to contact the club.

Bideford were without a match on Saturday following Andover’s withdrawal from the Evo-Stik League Southern.

The Robins have been given a home tie in the preliminary round of this season’s Carlsberg FA Trophy.

They will face Beaconsfield Sycob, currently fifth in the Evo-Stik League Southern Division One Central, on Saturday, October 8.
