Bideford made it two wins out of two on Tuesday night as they picked up their first away win in the Evo-Stik League South West. The Robins beat Yate Town 1-0, with Craig Allans goal in the 56th minute the difference between the two sides. There were three changes to the side that beat Didcot 1-0 on Saturday, with Matt Bye and Craig Veal replacing Dan Western and Kevin Squire. An injury for Dan Harrison in the warm-up meant James Mayne started alongside Craig Allan in the centre of defence. Despite a good half, Bideford went in level with the hosts at the break, with neither team able to break the deadlock. Allan got the crucial goal 11 minutes into the second half, bringing the ball down inside the six yard box and tapping in. After two games, the Robins are one of only three sides to have maximum points, with AFC Totton and Taunton Town also winning their first two games. Bideford are in action in the preliminary round of the FA Cup on Saturday, playing Wells City.
