Bideford Ladies battled back from behind to take another three points in the South West Women’s Football League Western Division.
The Robins beat Bude Town Ladies 3-1 at the Sports Ground on Sunday to remain second in the league.
The match was the 50th league outing for manager Roger Bonaparte and assistant Jorgi Usher, but it didn’t get off to the start they would have wanted. Bude’s direct approach saw Clare Badham burst through the Bideford defence and give the visitors the lead with five minutes on the clock.
The Robins had the best of the ball after the goal, with plenty of possession, but were unable to find a reply in the first half.
They finally got their equaliser 10 minutes into the second half. Some neat passing led to Rohanna Little releasing Leanne Cording, who produced a cool finish into the bottom corner.
Bideford took the lead 20 minutes later, with a short corner leading to Beth Ellis providing for Little to fire into the net from a tight angle.
They wrapped up the win four minutes later when a deep cross from Little was bet at the back post by Anna Beer, who planted the ball in the bottom corner.
Bideford’s last game of 2018 is on Sunday, when they visit Weston-super-mare.
