Bideford Ladies clinched their second trophy in the space of nine days on Sunday. The Robins followed up their Devon Supplementary Cup triumph by securing the Westward Developments Devon Womens Premier title with a 12-2 win over Lakeside Athletic. A first-half performance which saw the ladies race to a 7-1 lead all but sealed the title. Player of the match Caz Parsons scored four goals in the opening half to ease any jitters. Rohanna Little hit the back of the net on her birthday when she reacted to a rebounded shot from Emma Stoneman, and a long goal kick by Amy Darnley set up Little for a second. Stoneman got two goals thanks to assists from Little and Ria Penfold. Sarah Short netted twice from outside the box, linking up well with Parsons, who assisted both. Penfold and Lucy Clements completed the scoring, the former scoring from distance. The Robins end the 14-game campaign with 37 points, dropping just five points over the course of the season. They can complete a treble if they beat Feniton Ladies in the League Cup final. A date and location is to be confirmed.
