Bideford Ladies, met Ashmoor from a division above them in the county cup on Sunday.
Ashmoor dominated the opening half, their forwards were quick and and capilatising on long balls from the back to beat the Bideford defence with four goals. A couple of good passes led to some corners for the Bideford ladies but no real chances were produced.
A team talk from manager Mark Lewis at half-time produced a better re-start and a cool finish from Beth Ellis took Ashmoor by surprise.
Bideford started to take the upper hand, but a quick Ashmoor break and a long range shot out them four goals ahead again before good work from Beth Ellis down the left set Rhia Penfold up with an outstanding finish for a final 5-2 scoreline.
ILFRACOMBE FIGHT BACK TO WIN
Ilfracombe Ladies were 2-0 winners at Seaton.
They had keeper Kizzy Tarrant to thank for some fine saves in the early stages as Seaton pushed forward. But after weathering the storm Hannah Dibble finished off a good move down the wing with a tap-in to put Combe ahead. Then a good cross was well met by Keely Coates, whose header was knocked into her own net by a Seaton defender as she tried to knock it clear.
