Reserves prepare for away days with four goals at Mill Road

BARNSTAPLE Town Reserves climbed to fourth in the Fresha Devon and Exeter Premier Division with a 4-0 win against bottom side Alphington.

Barum were held to a 0-0 draw in the reverse fixture in September but ran away with the match on Saturday with two goals in each half at Mill Road.

Ryan Chapple scored the first, with Billy Tucker, Josh Pearce and Jordan Jones also on target for Terry Chapple’s young side.

“We should have really won at their place but it was a case of different pitch, different players,” said Chapple.

The Reserves are at home to Dolton in the Torridge Cup tonight (Wednesday) and begin a run of three away games when they travel to East Budleigh in the league on Saturday.
