CHAMPIONS Barnstaple FC marched on at the top with a 12-1 demolition of High Bickington.

Connor Nash hit five, Tom Nash and Stuart McKinnon three apiece and Carl McNeil one.

Hartland’s hopes of filling the other promotion spot have ended following double defeat this week.

After losing 1-0 at Northside Atlantic midweek, they dipped 2-1 at home to promotion rivals Landkey on Saturday.

Danny Slee put Hartland ahead after only two minutes, but Dan Hommell equalised and Landkey substitute Jamie Ousley found the winner in the closing minutes.

Landkey further boosted their promotion hopes with a win at Clovelly on Sunday, again coming from a goal down to win 2-1.

Lee Kerswell hit a 25-yard equaliser and Ousley again popped up with the winner, this time from the penalty spot.

Torridgeside Reserves remain neck and neck with Landkey following their 5-1 midweek win at home to Equalizers.

Northside Atlantic fought back from 2-0 down against Woolacombe on Saturday, only to lose 3-2 despite two goals by Tom Gleeson, one from the spot.

Next day they shared the points in a 3-3 draw at home to Braunton 3rds with goals by Damo Shaddick (2) and Vinny Bott.

Bottom club Sporting Barum maintained their fighting spirit to the end with a 5-3 midweek win at home to Barnstaple AAC Reserves.
