BIDEFORD'S winning sequence against Crediton finally ended when they lost 10-3 on the Blagdon in the Devon Intermediate Cup.

Bideford had won five in a row in league and cup against the Black and Yellows - and had high hopes of making it six of the best.

Crediton had other ideas though and came from behind to snatch the match in the last 10 minutes.

It was a close-run thing though, according to Bideford's player manager James Morris.

"It didn't help that we had Harvey Brown and Shaun Edwards sin-binned at different times, which meant we were a man short for 20 minutes," said Morris, who kicked Bideford's lone penalty.

'Crediton snatched it off us at the end, but breathed a big sigh of relief at the final whistle and won't be looking forward to playing us again in the league in a couple of weeks."

Bideford have a derby date with Torrington at King George's this Saturday.
