DEVON and Somerset Lady Guns celebrated their first year with an inaugural clay shooting competition.

The day consisted of a team flush, which was won by Somerset Guns Sarah-Jane Longbottom and Emma Coates.

A fun air rifle challenge was won by Devon’s Carol Tudor.

The day was sponsored and organised by the British Association for Shooting and Conservation (BASC) South West Region.

Annette Cole, senior country sports manager of BASC and Lady Gun said: “BASC are proud to be associated with the lady guns group. It not only encourages new people into the sport, but enables like minded women to get together and enjoy shooting, who might not have taken it up before.”
