The five Kingsley judoka were part of the team which took part in tournaments in Emmen and Alkmaar. Competing among some 750 people in Emmen, Amie McMurray secured a bronze medal in the U36kg category. Each of her five matches went into golden score, and after conceding the semi-final, she returned to the mat to finish her final fight in style, holding down Nienke Roinders from Norway for Ippon to earn her medal. She followed up her success in Alkmaar, winning four in a row after defeat in her opening match to earn another bronze. Her brother Zach was also a medal winner in Alkmaar, winning six fights in a row to earn bronze in the U36kg competition. Mark Wild, Gareth Williams and Cameron Lavelle all worked hard in their respective matches, but missed out on places in the finals.
