Kingsley Indoor Bowling Club rounded off its West Country Mixed Summer League programme with its Monarchs team entertaining South Hams Foxes and its Panthers away to Mid Devon.

Finishing in style, with a 44-35 win for the Monarchs and a 54-25 win for the Panthers, the Kingsley teams ended in fifth and fourth places respectively, after a season which has seen them travel as far afield as Plymouth and Taunton. Now, with the winter season in mind, the club is keen to invite new players to join it and will be holding a ‘taster day’ on September 24. Everyone will be able to have a free go at the sport, with coaches and equipment provided.

The Kingsley club is 22 years old and currently has around 200 members, evenly divided between men and women. It has its own hall in Westward Ho! and offers opportunities to play at all levels, from roll-ups among friends to internal league games, friendly matches with other clubs and serious games at county level. This includes evening games for those at work.
