SEVENTEEN Torridge primary school teams contested this year's High 5 Netball Tournament run by Langtree Reunites Netball Club.In a close cup competition St Helens A of Abbotsham took first place ahead of Shebbear College Juniors on goal difference alone. Merton finished in third place just one point behind. St Margaret's of Northam were convincing winners in the Plate competition, with St Helen's B as runners-up. Nothing could separate Westcroft, St.Mary's Reds and Edgehill in joint third place. St Mary's Blues won the Fair Play trophy.Langtree Reunites provided the umpires and main sponsors were Slee Blackwell Solicitors.The Langtree club is hoping to recruit some of the talent seen on display at the tournament. Players in Year 6 can join the junior section in training every Wednesday evening at Great Torrington Secondary School and players in Years 3-5 can join the High 5 section.
