Bideford claimed a 54-run victory at Sandford in the top division of the North devon League.

James Ford led Bideford to a close of 197-8 with a knock of 54 after opener Matt Allin had hit an eleven boundary 62. Lifton Terblanche was in fine form for the hosts taking 5-21 from his eight overs.

Paul Shepherd, Martin Stewart and Josh King each claimed three wicket haul for the visitors as Sandford reply closed on 143 all out. Mike Canning top scored with 24 from the No 10 slot.

Hatherleigh were 66-run winners at home to Barnstaple and Pilton.

Mark Lake (73) and Gareth Tidball (50), led the hosts to 268-7.

James Thomas took 2-54 for Barum who were then restricted to 202-7. Only Jack Popham made much impression with his innings of 51.

Charlie Neilson was the pick of the home bowlers with impressive figures of 2-10 from seven overs.

In Division Two, Beaford were beaten at home to Victoria Park by 13 runs.

The visitors were restricted to 126, mainly thanks to a superb eight over spell from Paul Heard that saw him return 3-5.

Ali McMillan and Daniel Lane were the only Beaford batsmen to make any sort of progress as they closed on 113.

It was much clearer cut at Shobrooke Park, where Incorrigibles were thumped by 10 wickets.

Jason Barnes claimed five wickets as the visitors were bundled out for 152, passed without loss by Shobrooke Park, for whom Justin Dollow cracked 80 and John Hames 60.

It was almost as emphatic at Lynton, where the 10-man home side were beaten by 168 runs by Belstone.

Tom Foggarty and Richard Drake both hit half centuries in a Belstone total of 259-7. Only Matt Faulkner provided much resistance for the hosts who were then bowled out for 90. Ryan Dennis and Callum Mallett both claimed three wicket hauls and there was a brace for Matt Dennis and one for Tom Foggarty.
