I was digging around in my locker the other day and came across an old wedge which used to be one of my favourites. So I put it in the bag when I went out to play last week. What I hadn't noticed was that the grip was a bit old and shiny and I couldn't use it for toffee. If you are using clubs with old, shiny grips, you will have to grip the club far too tightly, which will cause all sorts of problems, including thin shots, weak slices and a loss in distance. If this sounds common, get your clubs re-gripped! You will be amazed at the difference.Your pro will be able to advise on correct grip sizes and styles.Happy GolfingMIKE WILSONProfessionalRoyal North Devon Golf Club(01237) 477598
