THIS week we concentrate on establishing the correct ball position.Incorrect ball position is one of the most common problems I see as a teaching professional. Ball position is vital if you want to be a good player and it is easy to get right.Very simply, for a full shot (for a right handed golfer) an 8 iron, 9iron and all your wedges should be positioned in the centre of the stance. then, as the clubs get longer - 7 iron right through to the driver - the ball position moves gradually more in line with your left heel each time. Until you get to the driver, which should be positioned in line with the left heel.Make sure your ball position is correct the next time you play.Happy golfing.MIKE WILSON, professional, Royal North Devon Golf Club(01237) 477598
